Technovation

IT Student’s Association organised technical event, technovation for all students of college organised under Avishkar-envision to reality. This event was opened to 1st to 4th year students which was held on 20th February. It had three rounds, round one Techmesh, round two, the bug busting challenge and round three was the surprise round. In Techmesh the questions were related to the technologies and various languages, the various coding languages, round two, which was the busting challenge where each team were given a problem statement which had bugs and they were supposed to find those bugs and solve them and then the selected teams went to the 3rd round, which was the surprise round. The event was conducted in the IT Department of Govt College of Engineering Karad.

Ideathon

An event that focuses on generating innovative and creative ideas to address specific challenges or problems. Ideathon brings together individuals or teams to brainstorm, collaborate and come up with potential solution with a set time frame. Participants work together to explore novel approaches and propose inventive solutions to complex issues. During this ideathon, participants were encouraged to challenge conventional wisdom and explore unconventional ideas. Throughout the event mentors were available to guide and support the participants in refining their ideas.
This ideathon offered the participants the opportunity to showcase their problem solving skills and potentially turn their innovative ideas into real world projects, start-ups or initiatives.


Technical Buzzer Round

Technical buzzer round is a fast paced quiz format. In this round, participants are presented with series of technical questions covering a wide range of subjects like maths, science, engineering, computer programme languages and general technology related questions. Participants use the handheld buzzer to signal their readiness to answer the question. The first person to buzz gets the opportunity to respond. This format adds an element of excitement and competition as contestant must think quickly and accurately to gain points for correct answer. The questions in the technical buzzer round were designed to test the participant’s knowledge.


ITSA Inauguration

The inauguration ceremony of the Information Technology Students' Association (ITSA) was held with great enthusiasm and pride. ITSA aims to foster a sense of community among information technology students while promoting academic and professional growth. The ceremony marked the official launch of ITSA and its commitment to enhancing the IT education experience.

The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, students. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the President of ITSA, who outlined the organization's goals and vision. The ceremony was preceded with valuable speech of honourable HOD Dr. Wagh Sir and Faculty Advisor Dr. Yelure Sir.
The ceremony concluded with heartfelt closing remarks by the Vice President of ITSA, expressing gratitude to all attendees and supporters.


Alumni Talk Series

The Alumina Talk series conducted in our department is a recurring event where accomplished graduates return to share their experience and insights with the current students. The speakers for the talk series were Prashant Garud, President JP Morgan Singapore and Abhishek Dhawan who talked on Artificial Intelligence for neuroscience. The series aimed to inspire, motivate and provide valuable guidance to the student community. During these talk alumni spoke about their post college journey including their career paths, challenges faced and lessons learned and key milestones achieved. They also gave advice on how to navigate the transition from college to the professional world and provide tips for personal and career growth. The talk took the form of interactive sessions, allowing students to ask questions, seek advice and engage in meaningful discussions with the speakers.

 

Apexa IQ session:

Apexa iQ had the pleasure of engaging with over 150 talented students from the Government College of Engineering Karad, Maharashtra, as part of our Apexa iQ Gives Back initiative and Campus Connect program. During the live session, we discussed various topics related to life, engineering, and work, emphasizing the nuances of work-life balance, engineering insights, and essential life skills for personal and professional growth. We extend our special thanks to Principal Dr. Sanjeev Wagh and Head of Department Dr. Raj Kulkarni for this opportunity, and acknowledge the excellent anchoring by Tejal Yawalkar and Prathamesh Deshmane. Our panel members Lokesh Aggarwal, John Jacott, Vinit Kaushik, Pratikshya Bawali, and Sharadkumar Rathi provided valuable experiences, tips, and industry expectations to help students in their career development. Apexa iQ remains committed to teaching young, aspiring students the importance of lifelong learning and the significant impact they can have on start-up companies.
