Central Library of Government College of Engineering Karad is fully automated and operates with SLIM 3.0 ILMS. The Library has 50 workstation, Touchscreen server OPAC to facilitate searching online book search, e-resources, web browsing and for other academic work
- Govt. College of Engineering Karad Central Library plays a key role in the dissemination of information. The library has an excellent collection of Textbooks, Reference books, periodicals, and other study materials. It has also a good collection of UG and PG student’s Project reports, Dissertations & Journal bound volumes. The library has a wide range of resources on Engineering, Science, Humanities & Social Science
- The library also holding NPTEL video lectures technical CD ROMs and Swayam Prabha channels through DTH
- ASME, ASCE, IEEE, Springer Nature, Elsevier Science Direct, IET Complete, and Taylor & Francis journals are accessible to the students and Staff also, e-books of Elsevier, Springer McGraw-Hill, Pearson,
- Turnitin Plagiarism software, and Typeset research software accessible throughout the campus by Wi-Fi.
- During Covid-19 Pandemic Situation from 1st April 2020 Library Provides online resources remote access to the students and Staff
- The library is open for six days of the week, Circulation Section, Periodical Section, Reference section NPTEL Video, and Swayam Prabha Channels Section is open from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm and Reading Room and Digital Library Section open throughout the week between 6.00 am to 12.00 pm.
- Technical journals & magazines are displayed in such a way that students/staff can easily get it. The library has taken care to increase the reading habit of the students. It has a classic collection of Marathi, Hindi & English Literature books.
- Every year library organizes Vachan Prerana Divas on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam former President of India.
- Library displays new arrival books list on notice board to keep the reader updated. also displays the available print journals list, Faculty members publications, and all online resources link on the library notice board and the digital library section. Every year library organized an induction program for how to use the library and it is helpful to newly admitted students.
